Hacke Artcare was founded in 1992 by Mette Hacke. She is a qualified Art Conservator, with an extensive experience in art restoration and conservation. She now primarily restores old and contemporary paintings, sculptures and mixed-media art, her specialty since 1975. We restore age-related damage to artwork, as well as rescue art affected by fire, water, vandalism and the like.
Hacke Artcare is fully qualified to handle art (modern and old), frame gilding and reconstruction, furniture restoration as well as some paper conservation. We have a workshop with state-of-the-art equipment and employ the newest methods to ensure a gentle and fully restorable conservation. Much of our equipment and chemistry has been developed by Bent Hacke, but has since been universally adapted by the world's art conservators.
Among these innovations are the Low Pressure Heat Seal Table, reversible reinforcement methods for canvas and more recently Mette Hacke's advanced, reversible composite lining methods.
We always use the best quality, authentic pigments and will go to great lenghts to preserve your works of art. We provide free price-quotes, and will always refer you to a qualified coleague if your requirements are out of our field of experteese.
